Intraoral workspace

To open this workspace, click Intraoral on the workspace bar. Alternatively, press [F6].

Note

This workspace is only available if intraoral images are added to the diagnosis.

The intraoral workspace allows you to view and inspect intraoral radiographs for the patient.

At the bottom of the workspace, the thumbnail bar contains all the images that are loaded and not shown in the workspace placeholders. The images are sorted by creation date. Double-click the image to maximize it. Double-click it again to restore it down. Click Data plus sign to add an image. Select Capture camera, or Import intraoral image import intraoral images icon.

Drag an image from the thumbnail bar and drop the image on a placeholder. If the placeholder already contains an image, the images are stacked.

If the intraoral images have been captured with DTX Studio™ Clinic and if the loaded tooth range matches the placeholder range, the images are automatically shown on the correct placeholder. When an intraoral image is moved to another placeholder, the tooth range is overwritten. If the intraoral images have been imported, drag and drop the images on the correct placeholders.

Note

When exporting the intraoral images in DICOM format, the set tooth range is saved inside the DICOM file, so the tooth numbers can be recognized by third party applications.

The dropped image is cut to fit the placeholder size. If there are more images for the same placeholder, the images are stacked. The most recent image is on top of the stack and a number indicates how many images are in the stack. Click the stack icon stack icon to see all the images in the stack. To visualize a particular set of intraoral images, select an acquisition date from the acquisition dates list in the upper-right corner of the workspace.

Maximizing/Restoring down an image

Double-click the image or hover over an image on a placeholder and click maximize maximize icon, or double-click the image on the placeholder to maximize a viewer. On the enlarged image, options are available to add measurements and annotations, and to apply level and window and image filters.

To scale down the image to its normal size again, double-click the image or click intraoral image icon Intraoral (Maximized) and select Restore down. Alternatively, press [Ctrl+M], [Cmd+M] or press [Esc].

Intraoral workspace layout

To change the intraoral workspace layout, click intraoral layout icon Intraoral (Layout Name) in the upper-left corner and select Layouts. Choose a layout. Every placeholder is linked to certain tooth positions, so if you change the layout, the images linked to the corresponding tooth numbers will appear on the right spot.

SmartFocus

To activate the SmartFocus in the intraoral workspace, press the spacebar. Hover over a tooth and the tooth number will be shown. Press the space bar again or right-click to disable the SmartFocus.

When the SmartFocus is activated, click on a tooth region to go to the 2D tooth workspace with the data for that respective tooth loaded in the viewer. Now you can diagnose on tooth level.
