Adjusting the gingival surface
Click Fit to gum 
to adjust the gingival surface of the bar to follow the shape of the soft tissues, thus preventing gaps and food traps. Fit to gingival surface can be used with the Montreal, Montreal with metallic lingual, Paris, Hybrid and Free-form milled bars.
Verifying the gingival surface of the bar
The gingival surface of the bar can be verified for Paris, Montreal and Montreal with metallic lingual bars.
Open the 2D cross-section view.
Click Fit to gum .
Click the bar in the 3D view and verify in the 2D cross-section view the position and shape of the gingival surface of the bar.
Tips
If the gingival surface of the bar must not touch the ridge, make sure the distance is adequate. Consider using the Distance to gum option in Fit to gum .
If the gingival surface of the bar must touch the gingival surface, make sure the buccal and lingual surface of the bar are not compressing the ridge. If necessary, modify the bar height.
