By default, all reslice viewers are shown as single slices, except for the OPG. The Slice thickness tool allows you to convert a reslice into an X-ray and to set the slice thickness and vice versa. The OPG is always in X-ray mode, so for the OPG you can only change the slice thickness.
To set the X-ray thickness of a 2D reslice viewer:
Click Diagnose in the menu bar.
Select Slice Thickness .
Click and drag horizontally on a 2D reslice viewer to adjust the slice thickness.
Right-click to finish.
The slice thickness for the 2D reslice viewer is adapted.
Note
An indication of the slice thickness is shown in the bottom-right corner of the 2D viewer.
Alternatively, on the 3D tooth workspace, the 3D panoramic workspace, or the 2D reslice viewers in the 3D patient workspace:
On the title bar of the 2D viewer, click the down arrow .
Select Slice Thickness .
Select a preset slice thickness.
Note
For the panoramic workspace, the following presets are available Thin (10 mm), Medium (20 mm), and Thick (30 mm).
For 2D reslice viewers in the 3D Patient or the 3D Tooth workspace, you can choose between Single, Endo (0.5 mm), Thin (1mm), Medium (6mm), and Thick (12 mm).
