The KaVo LS 3 scanner comes with a touch panel, displaying scanner status messages and offering guidance through the scan process.
Before starting the scan, the touch panel will display the status of the scanner:
Ready: The scanner is ready for scanning. Position the object carefully in the scanner and follow the instructions.
No network connection: The scan service has not been started. If the problem persists, contact support.
Scanner not connected: There is no network connection. Check the USB cable.
To set the scanner IP address:
On the touch panel, tap Settings.
Next to the first item, tap Change. Choose one of the following options:
USB to Ethernet adapter (default) to connect your scanner to the network.
Network cable to connect your scanner to the computer.
Tap Apply.
Depending on the selection you made, the scanner IP address, default gateway, subnet mask, computer IP address and port number can be adjusted. Tap Change in the corresponding box, make the necessary changes and tap Apply.
Note
To reset all the settings, tap Restore factory settings.
