If appropriate for your chosen restoration type, the wizard will allow you to 'copy tooth' or 'mirror' the anatomy of healthy teeth from the opponent quadrant. If needed, you will be able to adapt your restoration later on, to make it the same shape as the opponent tooth. Usually, this leads to a more aesthetic result.
Notes
This page is only shown in the wizard whenever an adjacent "similar" (pre-molar to pre-molar, molar to molar, etc.) neighbor or the contralateral tooth is available.
This step can always be activated in expert mode by right-clicking outside the model and selecting Mirror/Copy individual teeth .
The tooth to be copied or mirrored must be marked as healthy (see Change reconstruction types). In the design module, all teeth that were scanned in DTX Studio™ Lab, are marked as healthy.
Select whether to Copy or to Mirror a tooth.
Choose whether to use the copied or mirrored tooth as:
Pre-op model
Library model
Click the tooth in the scan selection which you would like to copy or mirror.
A situation model will appear. Place it so that the teeth you want to restore are at the correct position.
Click Next to proceed.
