Change the look of a patient model

Changing the look of a patient model is done via the applied transfer functions. Transfer functions can be applied using the Transfer Functions gallery or the Patient Model shortcut menu. The use of the gallery with the preview thumbnails provides an overview of the available styles. Nevertheless, when you want to apply a specific transfer function and you know the name, you can also use the shortcut menu.

To change the look of a patient model via the Transfer Functions gallery, select one of the tiles in the gallery. The new transfer function is automatically applied.

Note

When applying a new transfer function, it might be necessary to fine-tune the function by means of the level/window action.

To change the look of a patient model via the shortcut menu:

1.     Right-click the patient model.

2.     Click Visualization in the Patient Model pop-up menu.

3.     Select the proper transfer function from the drop-down menu.
