Please follow the instructions carefully.
Have the NobelClinician License Information document at hand.
Before installation, check whether your computer meets the minimum system requirements. More information on these requirements can be found in the Computer Guidelines document. Please contact your NobelBiocare representative to request a digital or printed copy of the latest version.
1. Check that your computer has access to the Internet.
2. Check that your computer can view .pdf files (double-click on a .pdf file to test). Adobe® Reader® is an example of software typically used to read .pdf files.
3. Log onto your computer with a user account that has Administrator rights. We recommend that all other software on your computer is closed before the NobelClinician software is installed.
4. Insert the NobelClinician Installation DVD or the USB stick. If the install application does not start automatically, start the installer manually. If you have a 32-bit Windows® operating system, double-click on NobelClinician.exe. When working on a 64-bit Windows® operating system, double-click on NobelClinician(x64).exe.
5. A welcome message for the NobelClinician install wizard appears. Click Next.
6. The NobelClinician End-User License Agreement is displayed. Read it carefully. You can also print this information. To accept the agreement, click on I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next. Alternatively, click Cancel and the install procedure will abort.
7. Choose a 'destination folder' for the NobelClinician Software. This is the folder where the software files will reside. Then, click Next.
8. Click on Install to start the actual installation.
9. When the software is installed, click on Finish. NobelClinician starts and a second installation wizard is shown, allowing you to set up the software, click Next.
10. Enter the installation key that is printed on the NobelClinician Installation Information sheet. Click Next. When the license is registered, click on Finish.
11. When upgrading PCMS to NobelClinician, a form is shown to enter some personal data, and the Procera prefix of your Procera Software Clinical Design. Enter the data and click on Next. The Upgrade Agreement is displayed. Read it carefully. You can also print this information. To accept the agreement, click on I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next. Alternatively, click Cancel and the install procedure will abort. A confirmation e-mail will be automatically sent to you.
12. Select the patient directory. This is the folder where the patient-related data will be stored. Please make sure that this folder resides on a hard disk with enough free disk space (approximately 100MB per patient file is needed). All users of the computer should have read/write access to this folder.
13. Select the preferred software language. This is the language used in the help files and the NobelClinician Assistant. Then, click Finish. The software starts.
14. Now decide whether to install products from a local file or to download them from the server (a stable, high-speed Internet connection is required).
‒ When you choose the local file, browse to the implant library file (with the extension .ilf) on the DVD and click OK to install all products in the library. The installation progress is shown.
‒ Should you
choose to download the products from the server, a new wizard page allows
you to select the manufacturer(s) whose products are to be downloaded.
Click Next to start downloading.
The download progress is shown. It is possible to cancel the process by
returning to the previous page and switching to another option.
When all products are installed, click Next.
15. Log on as a specific user using the password provided in the NobelClinician license information document.
16. You are prompted to change the password using the password provided in the NobelClinician license information document (sesam). Type a new password (minimum 6 characters). Then retype the new password. Click on Save the password.
17. The NobelClinician End-User License Agreement is displayed. Read it carefully. You can also print this information. To accept the agreement, click on I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next. Alternatively, click Cancel and the install procedure will abort.
18. Select the language in which to display the Instructions for Use and click on Next.
19. Then click on Finish. The Instructions for Use are now displayed in the chosen language and the software is ready to use.
A NobelClinician icon is now available on your desktop. Double-click on it to start the software. NobelClinician can also be started by clicking the Windows® Start button: browse the list of all programs that appears and click on Nobel Biocare. Then click on the NobelClinician icon to start the software. The Instructions for Use are also available here in a printable format.
At all times the License Agreement is available in the 'About' dialog within the NobelClinician Software. It is advised to use the software while connected to the Internet in order to receive software updates etc. An Internet connection is required to prepare and send orders.
