PMS integration
DTX Studio™ Clinic can be integrated with a Practice Management System (PMS). The following systems are supported:
EagleSoft
VDDS protocol systems
Open Practice Protocol (OPP) systems
To enable this integration:
Open the Settings dialog.
Click PMS integration.
Select:
Enable PMS integration to allow the communication between DTX Studio™ Clinic and your PMS system. If multiple services are used on your computer, changing port numbers might be necessary. Enter the port number for OPP protocol or other PMS services.
Ignore PMS Practice ID to enable treatment of the same patient by different practices or dentists.
Enable patient creation and import to allow the use of the 
button in DTX Studio™ Clinic. If this option is cleared and if PMS integration is turned on, patient data can only be loaded via the PMS system.
Now the PMS can communicate with DTX Studio™ Clinic and DTX Studio™ Core.
When new images are available for a patient, the image metadata and a generated thumbnail are sent to the PMS, so that the clinician has an overview of all the images of the patient.
From within VDDS and OPP you can start capturing an image in DTX Studio™ Clinic for a patient. If the patient record does not yet exist in DTX Studio™ Clinic, the patient record is created with the information from the PMS. A watermark is added to the generated images.
From within VDDS you can open an image directly in the DTX Studio™ Clinic diagnose module. The most recent diagnosis will be opened. If the patient record does not yet exist in DTX Studio™ Clinic, the patient record is created.
