To begin using DTX Studio™ Clinic, installation and registration of the software must first be completed.
Install the software according to the 'DTX Studio™ Clinic installation guide', which can be found on DTX Studio™ Go.
DTX Studio™ Clinic is regularly updated with new features and improvements. We advise to always install the latest software to increase the application's performance and to enhance its security.
When starting the software, the system automatically checks for updates, provided that the system is connected to the Internet. When a software update is available, an update dialog is shown. Updates can be mandatory or optional.
Note
You need administrator rights to install updates.
When a mandatory update is launched, a message informs you about this update. You will not be able to use the software until the update is installed.
To download and install mandatory software updates, click Download. The update is downloaded, and a progress bar is shown. When the download is finished, the update is installed. The software including the updates is opened and can be used.
If you click Cancel, the mandatory update is not downloaded and the software is closed.
When an optional update is launched, choose to download and install the update or to postpone it and continue using the software as is. We advise to always install the latest updates.
To download and install optional software updates, click Download. The update is downloaded in the background and the currently installed software is started. When you start the software again after downloading the update, the system will inform you that an update is ready to be installed. Click Install to start the installation and follow the steps in the wizard. If you do not want to install the downloaded update yet, click Postpone.
If you wish to postpone the download of the update, click Postpone. The update dialog disappears and the currently installed DTX Studio™ Clinic software is started and can be used. If you click Postpone, the same message will be shown next time you start the software, unless you select Do not show this message again.
Note
In the settings, choose to always show the update messages every time you start DTX Studio™ Clinic, or to only show the message once for each new software version.
