The Cylinder beveling tool allows you to bevel the cylinders on Round, Dolder, Hader, Montreal with metallic lingual, and Wrap-around bars.
Each cylinder can be beveled individually.
Click the cylinder. Three handles are displayed for beveling:
Blue handle: Rotate the blue handle as to where you want to bevel.
Green handle: Raise the green handle up and down to give angle to begin.
Yellow or red handle. Move the yellow or red handle as to where you want the bevel to begin.
For a Montreal bar with metallic lingual you must first select Fit cylinders to wax-up from the Cylinders parameters in order to have a cylinder beveling option for this bar type.
To bevel a cylinder:
Click Activate cylinder beveling tool . If the cylinder beveling tool is activated, the
icon will be highlighted in green.
Note
Beveling should not expose the screw heads, below the superior surface of he bar, or be lower than the cylinder red line.
Click a cylinder.
Click the blue handle.
Rotate the blue handle to the position where the beveling will be set.
Click and move the green handle until the proper cutting angle is achieved.
Click and move the yellow handle to the cutting point.
The bevel is displayed on the cylinder.
Click Activate cylinder beveling tool .
From the Cylinders parameters , clear the Cylinder check box.
The bevel is removed from the cylinder.
