Aligning the model should be done for all bar types, both fixed and removable bar types. For fixed, it allows the bar to generally be above an average ridge. For removable, this provides the path of insertion for the attachments/riders when a patient places and removes his/her overdenture.
Make sure you selected the correct bar type first.
Click Activate alignment tool .
Click Front.
Hover over the circular plane. The circle will turn orange. Rotate it into position allowing the occlusal surface to be on a horizontal occlusal plane.
Note
If you slightly rotate the view, you will see a second circular plane, that can be rotated into position.
Rotate the model to the side view and repeat with the other plane if necessary.
The bar is adjusted to the new orientation.
Click Activate alignment tool again to deactivate the alignment tool.
